Each person has a unique face shape. So your new glasses may need some adjustment to your face first. You may also find that your glasses start to slip after a while. Opening and closing them, putting them on, tucking them into your shirt, etc. can cause the temples to loosen slightly. But this is not a problem, especially for our acetate glasses and our glasses with nose pads!
When it comes to making glasses, acetate is particularly advantageous because of its lightness, as the glasses are not too heavy for the bridge of your nose. Acetate allows for excellent customisation of the fit, as it only needs to be slightly heated to bend and adapt. By adapting the nose pads, you can adjust the fit of your glasses to suit you.

Warranty
Kapten & Son will, at its discretion, replace or repair defective eyewear upon presentation of proof of purchase during the 24-month warranty period. This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by incorrect or inappropriate use. The guarantee does not cover scratches on the lenses. The glasses are not intended as eye protection against mechanical risks.
How can I best clean my (sun)glasses?
The best way to clean your sunglasses is with hot soapy water. Then simply rinse the sunglasses and dry them with a soft cloth. Please do not use harsh chemicals such as solvents or detergents, which can have a negative effect on the mechanical properties of the glasses.
How to keep your glasses in perfect condition - Tips for preserving them properly
To enjoy your new sunglasses for as long as possible, you can follow these precautionary tips.
It’s best to store the sunglasses in a dry place at a temperature between -10 and 35 degrees Celsius. Acetate models, in particular, are sensitive to heat — at high temperatures, the material can easily warp or twist.
Likewise, even though it may be comfortable to wear sunglasses on top of your head or slide them onto the front of your shirt, over time this can stretch and deform the temples. As a result, the sunglasses may no longer sit properly and could slip off your nose more easily. Visit one of our Kapten stores or the optician of your choice to have your sunglasses readjusted.
To prevent any damage, it’s best to always store your sunglasses in a case or a suitable pouch. This way, you’ll protect not only the lenses from scratches but also the frame from unintentional warping.
