In this case, please send us a request including all the necessary information via our Chat. You can access it by clicking on the icon at the bottom right of the page.
To process your request, we will need your order number or a picture of the proof of purchase, a picture of the issue encountered, an exact designation of the product as well as your current your shipping address.
If the requested spare part is available for shipment, we will immediately send it to the address you provided. You will also receive a separate confirmation by email once it has been shipped.

How can I change the battery in my watch?
To change the battery in your watch, you can either visit one of our Kapten shops or a jeweller or watchmaker in your area. Please note that if your watch is damaged by the intervention of a third party, the guarantee no longer applies.
If you are within the 24-month guarantee period and there are costs involved in replacing the battery, we will cover them (up to a maximum value of €40). In this case, don't hesitate to contact us again via our Help Chat https://kaptenandson.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new and we will explain the procedure in this case.
How can I change or shorten the strap on my watch?
You can shorten your Steel Strap in most cases by using a screwdriver of an appropriate size.
If you cannot shorten your watch strap yourself, you can of course visit one of our shops and we will take care of it for you. If you live further away, you can also have your bracelet shortened at a jeweller's.
How do I adjust the size of my Mesh watch strap?

What is the Easy-Release mechanism and how does it work?
Some of our watches are equipped with an Easy-Release mechanism. This means that you can easily interchange the straps on these models. In the following video, we explain how to do this step by step:

I want to add extra links to my watch strap.
Using the tool provided or a particularly small screwdriver, you can not only shorten the strap of your watch but also increase its length. Of course, it's important that the strap is suitable for that. You can check this by looking at the ‘RI’ engraving on the inside of the butterfly clasp of your steel bracelet. Then simply unscrew the connecting screw and refit the number of links you want.
If you need new links, don't hesitate to contact us via our chat. Please indicate which steel strap you need replacement links for. Please note that we do not offer replacement links for the Woven Steel bracelet. We can supply you with a maximum of three spare links.

Why is the second-hand on my Chrono not on the number 12?
To fix this issue, first, pull the crown out as far as it will go. Then press the two buttons above and below the crown simultaneously until the seconds’ hand rotates through approximately 360°. Then press the button above the crown until the second hand is in position 12 or another position. Finally, simply push the crown back into its original position.
