Travel, Lifestyle

In 2016 Laura felt she was spending more time working and worrying than enjoying life. So she quit her job to go travel. She now runs a blog where she shares tips that helped her get through her crises. We admire Laura for her courage and self-awareness and are proud to have her on board!

Three Questions for Laura

Kapten Name your personal travel essential.
Laura A good pair of sunglasses. Whether it’s hiking in the mountains or heading to the beach, a pair of sunnies is a must. Growing up in sunny Southern California I am always concerned with the effects of the sun and they also look great in photos!
Kapten When was the last time that you did something for the first time?
Laura I constantly try to push myself out of my comfort zone and try new things. My latest ”new experience“ was spending a week driving through Iceland in a van. It was my first van-life experience but it sure won’t be my last! It was a great way to see parts of the country that I would have missed otherwise.
Kapten Which place do you really want to visit?
Laura My bucket list of places I want to visit is pretty long but one of the top places on my “wish list” is the Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. With soaring mountains, glaciers, and alpine lakes, it seems like the perfect place for an outdoors lover like myself.

Laura's favorite pick

My favorite Kapten & Son product is the Campus Midnight Mesh watch. It is very light and comfortable which is great for hiking trips. A phone can run out of battery pretty quickly and hiking around in wilderness without knowledge of time can be potentially dangerous. Besides being very cute, it is the perfect accessory to keep track of time outdoors.
