3. Guess the Baby Food
An absolute classic that must not be missing at any baby shower! The flavour range of baby food knows no bounds: from apple-banana with baby biscuit to spaghetti bolognese to rice with carrots and organic turkey — there’s something for every gourmet. But can you taste what’s in the jar? Get a variety of types, note which puree is in which jar. Now everyone can taste in turn and write down which ingredients they think are in each puree. Whoever guesses the most flavours correctly wins.

If there are mothers among the guests, you can ask them to bring a few bottles. Otherwise, you can buy bottle sets for about 30 euros, which the expectant mum will surely use in the future. Simply replace the usual categories with terms from the world of parents and children, such as baby name, lullaby, food, or children’s toy. Creativity knows no bounds. The rest of the game proceeds as usual: one person recites the alphabet in their head, another shouts “Stop!” and everyone starts filling in their tables until the first person completes all categories.

Ready, set, go with fabric markers: guests can let their creativity run free on plain bodysuits and bibs. It’s best to set a time limit so the game doesn’t turn into an all-afternoon activity.
