Handgepäck: Die 55-35-20 Regel

Eines direkt vorweg: Eine einheitliche Handgepäck-Vorschrift gibt es nicht. Gewicht, Größe und Anzahl der Handgepäckstücke legt jede Airline individuell fest. Die Richtlinien sind teilweise auch an den gebuchten Tarif geknüpft.

Bei Ryanair darf dein Handgepäckstück zum Beispiel maximal 40 x 20 x 25 cm messen und muss unter deinen Sitz passen. Bei Condor-Flügen kannst du mit dem Economy Classic Tarif ein Gepäckstück mit den Maßen 55 x 40 x 20 cm mit ins Flugzeug nehmen.

Als grobe Richtlinie für das Handgepäck hat sich daher die 55-35-20 Regel etabliert, nach der dein Handgepäck höchstens 55 x 35 x 20 cm messen sollte. Das Maximalgewicht von acht Kilogramm solltest du nicht überschreiten.

Handgepäck Rucksack: Richtlinien pro Airline erklärt

Air France

Bei Air France darfst du im Economy Tarif ein großes Handgepäckstück mit den Maßen 55 x 35 x 25 cm und einen persönlichen Gegenstand (kleines Handgepäck) in den Abmessungen 40 x 30 x 15 cm mitnehmen. Beide Gepäckstücke dürfen insgesamt maximal 12 Kilogramm wiegen.

British Airways

Das kleine Handgepäckstück darf die Maße 40 x 30 x 15 cm und ein Gewicht von 23 Kilogramm nicht überschreiten. Das Gepäckstück wird unter dem Sitz platziert. Dein großes Handgepäck darf einschließlich Rädern und Griffen 56 x 45 x 25 cm messen und ebenfalls bis zu 23 Kilogramm wiegen. Eventuell muss das Gepäckstück in den Frachtraum, daher wird empfohlen keine wichtigen persönlichen Gegenstände, die du während des Fluges brauchst, im großen Handgepäck zu verstauen.

Condor

Dein kleines Handgepäck sollte bei Condor die Maße 40 x 30 x 10 cm haben. Großes Handgepäck kannst du entweder im Economy Light Tarif (?) ab circa 10 Euro dazu buchen oder im Economy Classic Tarif inklusive ausnutzen. Es darf die Abmessungen 55 x 40 x 20 cm nicht überschreiten. Das Gesamtgewicht beider Gepäckstücke wird auf 8 Kilogramm beschränkt.

easyJet

Jede*r Reisende darf bei easyJet ein kleines Handgepäck mit den Maßen 45 x 36 x 20 cm mit an Bord nehmen. Das Gepäckstück darf bis zu 15 Kilogramm wiegen. Du kannst ein großes Handgepäckstück in den Dimensionen 56 x 45 x 25 cm mitnehmen. Auch hier gilt die 15 Kilogramm Grenze. Du musst beide Gepäckstücke selbst heben und tragen können.

Emirates

Emirates erlaubt ein Handgepäck mit den Maßen 56 x 38 x 20 cm (Griffe und Räder eingerechnet) und einem Gewicht von bis zu 7 Kilogramm, wobei im Premium Economy Tarif bis zu 10 Kilogramm zugelassen sind. Als Kunde oder Kundin mit einem Business- oder First-Class-Tarif, darfst du auch ein kleines Handgepäckstück mit den Maßen 45 x 35 x 20 cm mitnehmen, ebenfalls maximal 7 Kilogramm schwer.

Eurowings

Kleines Handgepäck mit den Dimensionen 40 x 30 x 25 cm ist bei Eurowings kostenlos. Sitzt dein Kleinkind (bis zum Alter von zwei Jahren) während des Flugs auf deinem Schoß, darfst du ein zweites kleines Handgepäck mitnehmen. Ein großes Handgepäck inklusive Priority Boarding ist in den Maßen 55 x 40 x 23 cm ab 18 Euro buchbar.

Lufthansa

Bei Lufthansa darf dein kleines Handgepäck maximal 40 x 30 x 10 cm messen. Großes Handgepäck sollte nicht die 55 x 40 x 23 cm Maße überschreiten und darf maximal 8 Kilogramm wiegen. Für das kleine Handgepäck wurden online keine Informationen angegeben.

Ryanair

Bei Ryanair gelten hinsichtlich des Handgepäcks folgende Regeln: Das kleine Handgepäck darf die Maße 40 x 20 x 25 cm nicht überschreiten, das große Handgepäck darf maximal 55 x 40 x 20 cm messen und nicht schwerer als 10 Kilogramm sein.

TUI

Alle Reisenden dürfen bei TUI ein kleines Handgepäck mit an Bord nehmen. Dieses darf maximal 40 x 30 x 20 cm messen und muss unter dem Vordersitz aufbewahrt werden. Ein großes Handgepäckstück mit einem Gewicht von bis zu 10 Kilogramm kann online dazugebucht werden. Dieses darf die Maße 55 x 40 x 20 cm nicht überschreiten.

Turkish Airlines

Bei Turkish Airlines darf dein kleines Handgepäck maximal 40 x 30 x 15 cm messen und 4 Kilogramm wiegen. Großes Handgepäck muss die maximalen Maße von 55 x 40 x 23 cm einhalten und darf bis 8 Kilogramm schwer sein.

Wizz Air

Ein kleines Handgepäckstück mit den Maximalmaßen 40 × 30 × 20 cm und einem Maximalgewicht von 10 Kilogramm sind bei Wizz Air erlaubt. Das kostenpflichtige große Handgepäck darf maximal 55 × 40 × 23 cm messen und 10 Kilogramm schwer sein.
